Another successful but busy day with my sweet Mother…
Today is my handsome husband’s birthday. We headed #downtown #Nashville to our favorite #southerncooking establishment @dandgurescafe for some #friedfish and home cooked vegetables and found the longest line we had ever waited in to get inside to eat! It wasn’t until we were checking out and I was speaking to Dan , the owner , that I found out he had lost his lease after 31 years and they are forced to close. Last chance to dine with Dan is June 30th. So if you want taste what I’ve been raving about for years, you’d better get downtown soon! We are so sad to lose another beloved eatery to another high rise. Is that progress?
Another lovely #motherdaughter day yesterday starting with lunch, then a visit to Mom’s ophthalmologist for a good check up, got lab work for an appointment next week, purchased some fresh fruit and vegetables from a road side stand, visited dear friends (like family) Audrey & Kim, had great tacos at @therosepepper . What a great day. My Mother is the best!!
Some beautiful hydrangeas from our back yard for your viewing pleasure
Today was a #winwin I finally stopped in @gandyseafoodhermitage and purchased some large fresh shrimp. Then headed home for my first attempt at a delish #greek dish we had during our visit to the Peloponnese / Greek Shrimp Saganaki with Feta cheese. Hubby gave it a thumbs up and my tummy was happy - so #2outof2 is great!!
#whattodoinnashville this summer? don’t miss the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit.
